Modeling Scams

Fraud Investigation Online

emodel.com, Options Talent Group

Dear Modeling Scams,

I received a solicitation from Options Talent through my personal ad on AOL.

Unfortunately for them I know the modeling industry inside out. What a joke! You have to be 6 feet tall and I'm only 5'8."

Please warn everyone that anyone can have a great-looking site -- even serial killers!!!

Anyway, I have friends that work in the industry at real agencies like Ford and Elite in New York which never ask for money up front.

THEY'RE MORE LIKELY TO GIVE YOU MONEY FOR LUNCH OR CAB FARE, RIGHT AFTER THEY MET YOU AND HAVE DECIDED TO USE YOU.

The optionstalent.com website made me suspicious, because the Ford Agency in New York won't even let you contact them via email. The only thing they will accept is photos via regular mail.

N.N.

Reputable companies do not spam! emodel used to send spam, and now options talent sends spam. It is even worse in this case and an identical case that was reported earlier because the unsolicited email options talent sent has nothing to do with personal ads. Spam is one of the first and most clear signs a company should not be taken seriously.

emodel used to pay little if any attention to height and Options Talent is acting the same as emodel.

The underlying assumption of Options Talent (formerly emodel) is that modeling agencies, including the big ones, want to view digital images. But how can you believe that big agencies like Ford want to see digital comps when they will not accept them?
