Modeling Scams

Fraud Investigation Online

emodel.com, Options Talent Group

Dear Modeling Scams,

Thank you for publicly posting information about Options Talent Group. You helped me to make a solid decision.

On Friday, April 5, 2002, a scout with Options Talent Group approached my 16-year old daughter in the Galleria in Houston, Texas.

We went to an open call and heard their speech. Skeptical, I continued through the process of presentation, personal interview, and telephone interviews.

Their approach seems to be based on building emotions and creating anticipation.

Last night, on the phone, they pressured me to pay $595, using a credit card or checking account number right then and there.

I refused to give them any account numbers. Then they said I could wire the money by Western Union, giving me a name and address to send it to.

After telling me that last night was my daughter's only opportunity to work with them until next year, I was given a day to sleep on it.

Today, upon investigation into the company, I learned that the Houston Better Business Bureau has processed only three complaints about them since March 2001.

Next, I performed an internet search, using the keyword "modeling." This lead me to your site where I learned all I needed to know.

Thank you very much for your candid reports from both clients and former employees.

P.T.
