Dear Modeling Scams,

I saw an ad on Monster.com for a "Dream Job" with Options Talent as a scout.

I filled out an online application and received an offer for an interview.

This interview is to take place tomorrow, but after looking through this site I'm a bit leery of attending.

Does Options Talent scam its clients and employees?

Some former scouts who feel it is a scam say the scam is at its worst against the scouts, not the clients.

The only clear difference between the alleged scam on the clients and the claimed scam on the scouts is the clients lose their money while the scouts waste their time.

But if you feel time is money, and you could be making real money elsewhere, guaranteed, you could say both clients and scouts lose money they will never see again.

Please note there is an apparent "scam" in the terminology used by Options Talent, to the extent claims made are they say "employee," when they really mean independent contractor; and they say "job" (salary) when they really mean commission.

In any case, Options Talent is not likely to be something you'll want to put in your resume if they become a big news story like Enron.

The complaints against emodel/Options Talent re. employees/contractors included not being up front, high turnover rates, false or misleading advertising, and they tried to get free labor.
